Everything is computed in your browser, not on a server of ours. While you compare, what does leave: your region’s premium table, your answers in the page address, and pseudonymous usage counters.

Deadlines: switching & just arrived
Switching insurer? Notice must reach the old one by 30 November at the latest — Pepin handles the registered letter. Just arrived? You have 3 months from arrival to sign up, with cover (and premium) backdated to your arrival day — Pepin also sets you up from scratch. And the call works just as well to review what you already have.

These details go to Pepin so we can call you and follow up on your request. When you open this form, if the anti-bot check is switched on, your IP address and technical browser data already reach our anti-bot security provider, a US company.

Privacy

The whole calculation happens on your computer

The comparator computes entirely in your browser: your year of birth, municipality, current premium and picks aren’t sent to any server to be compared and stay on your device while you compare.

No accounts, no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics. Premiums load as open FOPH data files: of that download, the server only sees which regional table you ask for. One caveat worth stating: your answers travel in the page address (municipality, year, deductible), so if you reload, save the page or open a shared link, that address also reaches the technical log of whoever hosts it. While you compare without reloading, it stays in your browser.

To improve the calculator we count usage on our own server with PSEUDONYMOUS counters, not anonymous ones — they are still personal data: which screens open and how often, with no cookies and no cross-site tracking. We never store what you type, and we don’t cross-reference these counters with your contact details. The visit identifier is a random number that carries no name.

The only exception is you asking for it: if you send the call form, we pass Pepin your name, your contact and the summary you see at that moment, your situation if you tick it, the time slot you pick and the language of the page — nothing more, and only when you press “Request the call”, and the pepin.swiss privacy policy applies.

And one check that is not ours: when you OPEN that form, the page asks our server whether the anti-bot check is switched on. If it is, your IP address and some technical browser signals reach our anti-bot security provider, a US company, before you send anything; if it isn’t, it is not contacted.
